We didn’t start like most companies – we were inspired.  And that inspiration came from one young girl whose family couldn’t afford eyeglasses, let alone, an eye exam.

During her routine eye exam at an event held by one of our vendor sponsors, Optical Academy, we discovered that she had a tumor behind her right eye and needed emergency eye surgery to save her sight.  While her story impacted us to our core, we took it personally and knew what had to be done for her and so many others whose voice had been silenced out of fear or affordability.  So, we didn’t start out like most companies, we were inspired and created See A Beautiful Day, Every Day.

How could this have been missed inside a school district that provides required vision screenings, you ask?  Put simply… a basic school vision screening is like asking a child, “Are you hungry?”…and then not feeding them!  They have never been enough and fail to recognize the needs of the child and the impact it has on not receiving a proper eye exam.
